BRENT STOLLER

A hopeful, (sometimes) humorous take on the traumas of infertility and pregnancy loss.

End Each Evening With These Reflections

Earlier this week, I wrote about why you should start each morning writing in the Five Minute Journal.

What I failed to mention is that the journal also includes a section that must be filled out in the evening.

And while it’s shorter, it’s just as helpful.

The nighttime portion asks you to list out three amazing things that you experienced, as well as what you could’ve done to make the day even better.

This sort of reflection not only reinforces a mindset of gratitude, it promotes constructive criticism through a positive prism.

By evaluating how and where things slipped off track, you gain awareness of your potential blindspots and what you need to work on.

Even better, you’re able to contemplate and identify new solutions you can implement to avoid repeating these mistakes going forward.

Which gives you a head start on a triumphant tomorrow.
